Custom programming for audiovisual entertainment and environmental sub-systems allow our clients to take control of technological advances efficiently and inexpensively. Imagine one button press in a home theatre that turns on the projector, lowers the screen, starts the Blu-ray player, sets the receiver to the appropriate surround sound selection, closes the drapes, brings up a front door camera image on screen if someone approaches, etc....you get the picture. Or what if scheduled cool and heat set points were automatically adjusted by the actual weather outside, or if the sprinkler by-passed its daily function because it rained heavily the previous day? - Multi-Unit Residential Control Systems In addition to all of the exciting audiovisual and environmental automation functions we can incorporate into single family homes, we can take it one step further with multi-unit residences such as condominiums. When working on a project with the condominium contractors directly, we can suggest integrated concierge services to assist with any perks they already offer to their resident owners. For example, if a package arrives at the front desk for an owner, the clerk can simply press a button that will bring up a page on the owner’s touch panel alerting him/her that a package is waiting, which could also send an email to the owner so they know they need to stop by the desk in the evening when returning from work. If car service is offered, the owner could press a button alerting the front desk that they will need their car waiting out front in 15 minutes. Also, intercoms can easily be incorporated into the scheme, allowing any resident to talk directly to the front desk at any time.
- Up-Scale Hotel Control Systems What if a hotels’ guest could simply order room service from their in-room touch panel? The order goes directly to the kitchen room service clerk, and the room service clerk could simply respond with “Order received and will arrive in 30 minutes” from their own touch panel. Not only would this avoid mistakes, but it would speed up the overall process, and avoid guest aggravation by long phone hold times. And by all means, get creative...maybe do away with the standard binder of area information for guests. Instead, store this information on the wireless touch panel for perusal by guests, which could be easily changed on a regular basis by hotel staff. This alone could stimulate advertising dollars for the hotel from local area businesses. Taxi requests, check-outs, late check-out requests, dinner reservations in the hotel restaurant....the sky is the limit!
